Economic Development
Lakewood's Economic Development activities encompass many points of interaction with residents, local businesses, prospective corporate clients and the local, county, state and federal governments that impact on Lakewood. Lakewood's tax office, development corporation, industrial commission and community development activities each play a significant role in doing business in or with Lakewood.
Includes Community Development Block Grant program as well as other programs
Planning, constructing and promoting Lakewood's industrial parks to attract business and "light" industry.
The Department obtains prices for goods and services through formal and informal quotes, receipt of bids, state contracts and/or RFP.
The LDC administers Lakewood's Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) program and the Lakewood Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ).
