FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA At Lake Carasaljo - Thursday, July 01, 2010 Starting at 6:30 pm at the Lakewood Amphitheater “DJ DESMOND” OF K.I.M ENTERTAINMENT Followed @ 8pm by the spectacular LAKEWOOD MUNICIPAL BAND Followed by a dazzling FIREWORKS DISPLAY Sponsored by Lakewood Township and “Honda Universe of Lakewood” You may view the fireworks from around the lake on North Lake Drive and South Lake Drive. Lions Medival Renaissance Festival Every September, Pine Park becomes "The Village of Pine Park in the Realm of the Barony of Carillon in the East Kingdom." Here, Lakewood's lords, ladies and children evoke the spirit of the Renaissance as they gather to feast, game and make merry. Ocean County Park Annual Events Ocean County Annual Fishing Contest For over a quarter century, kids and adults alike have been casting their lines at Lake Shenandoah Park in pursuit of freshwater "big fish" honors at this annual May event. Prizes for the biggest fish are awarded in 16 categories: eight for children under the age of 14 and eight for adults. Register the morning of the event. Kids’ Stuff Flea Market A unique event that has become a major recycling of kids’ toys, furniture and clothes. Funtasia Festival For kids with educational exhibits and demonstrations, inflatable playground and crafts. Lakeside Children’s Theater Story time, theater and live entertainment. South Jersey Canoe and Kayak Classic Try a variety of canoes and kayaks on the waters of Ocean County Park on Route 88. This annual June paddle-sport event offers clinics, equipment, and technique demonstrations along with contests for both kids and adults.
